Gateway of India : This place is the signature mark of Mumbai, is a 26 meters high stone doorway and is the first landmark of Bombay a visitor sees when arriving by ship. Mahalaxmi Temple : This is an important Hindu temple dedicated to the goddess of wealth. Mahalaxmi Temple is one of the most famous temples of Mumbai situated on at the seashore on the northern side of Malabar hills. It is dedicated to Mahalaxmi, Lord Vishnu's consort and was built around 1785.

Chowpatty : A popular beach where celebration of festivals such as Coconut Day and the Ganesh Chaturthi take place.On the beach are the statues of India’s freedom fighters, Lokmanya Tilak and Vithalbhai Patel who symbolize the freedom struggle. Chowpatty occupies a special place in the life of Bombay, having been the venue of very political meetings in the pre-independence era.

City is named for Aurangzeb, the last of the great Mughal Emperors. The most renowned tourists' attraction of Aurangabad is Bibi-Ka-Maqbara, built in memory of Aurangazeb's wife, Begum Rabia Durani.

By Air : Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport is the major airport that receives both domestic and international flight. Almost all the airlines operate flights from Mumbai.
By Rail : Mumbai is well connected with railways, with the city being headquarter to the two railway zones - Central and Western. Victoria Terminal now renamed, as Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminal is the main railway station of Mumbai.
By Road : Most of the long distance buses leave from the State Transport Terminal situated opposite Mumbai's Central Railway Station. Mumbai is well connected by a network of roads to the rest of states by a state highway.
